Solar Energy
In efforts to reduce carbon emissions, Durable Packaging has gone solar! The installation of over 6,000 solar panels to the roof of our main facility allows for an alternative energy source that’s renewable which has a significant impact on the environment and reduces our overall carbon footprint. Fun Fact: We are offsetting enough CO2 to equate to over 37,000 trees being planted!
Recycling
Aluminum is infinitely recyclable, ensuring that every finished product contains a portion of post-consumer recycled material. At Durable, we’ve invested in four cutting-edge, high-capacity hydraulic presses exclusively dedicated to recycling within our manufacturing plant.
Low Profile Retail Packaging
Our retail products are now fortified with FDA-approved tape, specially designed for indirect contact. This innovative enhancement not only reduces packaging waste by over 90%, but also ensures effortless opening and optimal shelf space utilization.
Cartons
Our cartons are crafted from 100% Recycled Paperboard, showcasing our commitment to sustainability. We've recently enhanced them to be even more eco-friendly by optimizing material usage, further reducing our environmental footprint. Experience our products guilt-free, knowing they're packaged in thoughtfully designed, environmentally conscious cartons.
Green Choice
We take pride in producing an environmentally conscious paper alternative known as Green Choice™, offered in both bakery tissue and deli paper options. Green Choice™ is crafted from natural, unbleached paper and coated with a soy-based wax blend. Our Green Choice™ products are not only earth-friendly but also compostable, chlorine-free and thoughtfully packaged in dispenser boxes made from 100% recycled paperboard.
